2008 President Election As the 2008 presidential campaign comes closer and closer, more and more presidential candidates continue to pop up. There are a handful of Democratic and Republican candidates that are definitely running, and many more possible candidates on both sides, that are not sure whether they will run. Possibly one of the most famous candidates on the democratic side, Hilary Clinton may make history, if elected, as the first woman president of the United States of America. Some other big names in the 2008 presidential race are former North Carolina Senator John Edwards, retired general Wesley Clark, and former vice president Al Gore. Not only may history happen if Hilary Clinton gets elected, but if Senator Barrack Obama is elected president on the democratic side, he will become the first president with African American in his blood. There is also rumor that Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice may run for president. If the rumor is true she will also make history as the first woman and African American president ......
