A Small, Good Thing Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

How would you react if one of your children passed away? In the story A Small, Good Thing a tragic accident occurs with a young boy and his family is leaning how to deal with it. In the Story A Small, Good Thing Ann, Scotty’s mother, had many different effects of the accident. Prior to the accident Ann had went out to buy a birthday cake for Scotty, her son. She was just caring mother who was having a birthday party for her son. On Scotty’s birthday a car hit him. He had seemed to be all right at first but things just got worse. When Scotty went to the hospital the doctors had told Ann that Scotty was going to be fine and she didn’t have to worry. Ann worried anyway about Scotty’s condition. Ann didn’t want to leave his side even when the nurse encouraged her to go home to take a bath and eat. When Ann’s husband finally talked her into going home for a little while she couldn’t keep Scotty off her mind. While at home she got a phone call saying you forgot about Scotty. That was all that the caller said and then he quickly hung up. She called the hospital to check on Scotty ......
