Upon examining the amalgamated data from our groups four consumer diaries a number of facts were immediately apparent:
a) that a vast majority of our low involvement purchases were habitual,
b) the influence of reference groups on our consumer behaviour was of great significance; and
c) the relative similarities in our group members demographics and lifestyles (university students in their mid-twentys living in the Eastern suburbs) meant that many of our purchases were often driven by the same motivations.
