The setting is a small town in Pennsylvania named Gettysburg; June 29 through July 3, 1863. In which the great battle of Gettysburg leaves 50,000 Confederate and Union soldiers dead, wounded, or missing. In conspectus, the Civil War was based on freedom and preserving the rights of the states. Both sides had their individual way of life but one common misconception is that the war was based solely on slavery. On the contrary, the issue wasn't confronted until the third year.
Gettysburg was one of the most bloody and horrific battle of the American Civil War. The book begins on Monday, June 29, 1863 and provides an introduction to the circumstances directly before fighting begins. A spy named Harrison, hired by Long Street comes back to the Confederate camp and alerts General Lee of the proximity of the Federal troops. Both Lee and Long Street, another Confederate general, adopt an untrustworthy attitude toward the spy.
