Fruit of the Poisonous Tree By James Allen Research a Supreme Court or Federal court case dealing with the "Fruit of the Poisonous Tree" concept. The term Fruit of a Poisonous tree is a phrase used in the legal world to describe the unlawful collection of evidence. When a court case is being established, an investigator must collect evidence to build a case against a suspect. During the evolvement of the citizens and government in the United States, there have been laws set in place to protect the citizens of the US. In order to collect evidence there are steps that must be taken to ensure the collection process is done correctly as well as legally. The main idea behind such exclusionary laws such as this one, is to deter police officers and investigators from obtaining evidence illegally......
