“To live a perfect life, you must ask nothing, give nothing, and expect nothing.” This is a famous aphorism from an unknown author. It is saying that to have a perfect life in this world, you need not have preconceived notions about what you are going to accomplish, what you are going to receive from life, and what you are going to give to the world through your being. If you are capable of doing this, you will live a perfect life. The only problem is, no earthly person is capable of this feat. After reading the book Tuesdays With Morrie, I have a reawakening of sorts. It opened my eyes to many imperfections in the world around me and let me see the way our society wants a person to live.
