The Home Building Industry has long been a very vital part of the American cultural, as far back as the early days of American civilization. I am a Commercial Real Estate Loan Officer for Cadence Bank. My primary job is to lend funds to builders that build subdivisions comprised of single-family homes. In my career I have the seen the foundation of Home Builders suffer because of poor money management. However the industry has changed drastically in terms of playing a significant role in the infer structure of the United States economy.
According to an article in Wall Street Journal “Wall Street retreated after national housing data showed that sales surged in April by the largest amount in 14 years, damping hopes that an interest rate cut would be needed to stimulate the economy. (Builder Online 2007). This simple statement takes away the wait that the Federal Government as well as the consumer markets of thinking the interest rate was going to be eased because of the current housing market. Investors and realtors were excited after the Commerce year......
