Both organization sell similar products and try to price match items to encourage more customers revenue. Office depot was established in 1986 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with annual sales of 2 million. As of today office depot has 1000 stores and sales of 15 billion annually (Office Depot, Inc. 2006).
