Ghengis Khan Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Ghengis Khan Ghengis Khan was an ancient Mongolian ruler ("a personal HISTORY of GHENGIS KHAN."). When most people think of him they think of an angry, brutal war monster. In fact he was a composed military leader, who had great success in his career. Ghengis Khan perfected many military strategies that are still in use today ("Ghengis Khan"). After reviewing Ghengis Khan's personal history, the way he gained his empire, and how he showed ambition it is clear to see that Ghengis Khan was an ancient leader who showed ambition. Ghengis Khan was born around the year of 1162 to a Mongol chieftain. His birth-name was Temujin, which translated in his native language means "iron worker" ("a personal HISTORY of GHENGIS KHAN."). While his son was very young Ghengis' father, Yesugei, died as a result of poising from a group of Tatars, who where the chieftain's of the surrounding areas. Though only a child, Ghengis Khan would never pardon his fathers death and vowed revenge. When his father died he wanted to take his place as chieftain, but the elders of his clan wouldn't let hi......
