Sir Isaac Newton was one of the greatest scientists who ever lived. Not only was Sir Isaac Newton an astronomer, Newton was a mathematician and physicist as well as a teacher. We will explore each facet, but first we will start into his early years so that we may get a better understanding of how Newton became the great Sir Isaac Newton. Then you will realize why I selected him as having the greatest impact on Western Civilization.
Sir Isaac Newton was born at Woolthorpe, Lincolnshire, England on Christmas Day in 1642. Newton was a premature baby, just fighting to live. His first few years were a struggle to survive. He then lived with his grandmother in Woolthorpe. As he grew up instead of (playing games and sports like other boys, he was more into making models like windmills and carts). At an early age the models were all the right proportions and all worked properly. When Isaac was 14 years old he was taken out of school to help run the family farm.
