Marketing Concepts and Market –Driven Management Executive Summary: Managers who adapt a market-driven concept recognize that marketing is vital to the success of their organizations. This realization is reflected in a fundamental approach to doing business that gives the customer the highest priority. What is the marketing concept? What are the beliefs that it is based on. Why should managers use this concept for business success? To come have a greater understanding of managers and the market-driven concepts, companies would need to conduct a study based on the concepts of customer-oriented companies. How can a customer be made to feel that they are the highest priority? The answer to this is to use certain marketing concepts to find out what the customer may need and expect from the company. There are several types of approaches that can be used, but a company must first collect data to find out what the customer wants. Managers may do this by conducting surveys.
