Researchers at the Indiana University School of Medicine say, Brain scans of kids who played a violent video game showed an increase in emotional arousal and a corresponding decrease of activity in brain areas involved in self-control, inhibition and attention. John P. Murray, a psychology professor at Kansas State University, conducted a very similar experiment on violent TV shows and movies, employing the same technology used in Indiana Universitys study. His findings are similar.
