HIV the Forgotten Epidemic Unlike personality, attitudes are expected to change as a function of experience (Chaplin, 1985). However, attitudes can be changed through persuasion (Baron & et al, 2006). Attitudes are: a learned disposition, to act in a consistent way toward an object, are based on feelings and opinions; and are that result from an evaluation of knowledge about the object (Baron & et al, 2006). There are three components of attitude: learned knowledge, evaluation; and predisposition to act (Friedman & Schustack, 2005). More so, there are three functions to attitude: utilitarian, value-expressive; and ego-defensive (Chaplin, 1985). In addition, measuring attitudes are completed by observation, qualitative methods; and by attitude scales (Baron & et al, 2006). Changing a person attitude is based upon knowledge and evaluation (Friedman & Schustack, 2005). Moreover, if the evaluation is changed it has an added benefit and change of product (Baron & et al, 2006). Last of all, forced action effects the measure within knowledge......
