LATE INNING DRAMA Thesis Statement: Nothing makes a day at the ballpark better than a home-run ball and extra innings. The day was Tuesday August 28th, and what a memorable day it was. My friend Craig and I are Philadelphia Phillies fans and have been for life. We however had never gone to see a game together at the Phillies new home stadium Citizen's Bank Park. We bought tickets online almost a month in advance anticipating it would be a big game, as they were in second place and their opponent would be the first place New York Mets. After watching their Monday night victory on TV we were highly anticipating the game on Tuesday, which we had tickets for. The game didn't start until 7:05, however we decided to leave at 3:00 so we could get there early. The drive seemed to take awhile but in actuality it only lasted an hour and twenty minutes. We knew the way as we had traveled it many times in previous years. As we approached the city, the numerous tall buildings were beautiful.
