Laurels is a highly recognized academic honorary club. Ever since I was a freshman, part of my goals were to be part of this club regardless of any circumstances. I was dead set to put my money where my mouth is. And sure enough I am and was in that process. I applied once but unfortunately did not make it. This is my second time trying out. Despite the fact that I was not initiated on my first try, that did not deprive my pride at all, but instead I am even more determined. The reason being why I want to contribute to this club is because not only by far for its superior recognition, but I want to be part of this commodity. My older sister was part of this club and I will do anything to carry on this tradition. I want to take part with community service; I want to be able to assist with any problems that the students are encountering in school because I have an obvious and sincere concern for others, and last but not least I want to build my self-confidence as well as self-morality through this association.
