Smoking Banned in Public Places Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Smoking is health harmful and also a fatal habit. All cigarettes can damage human’s body because it has a complex mixture of chemicals produced by the burning of tobacco and the additives. Some of these substances cause heart and lung disease, and all of them can be deadly. It also has a passive dimension whereby an individual who does not smoke is unwillingly forced to inhale exhaled and ambient smoke from another person’s cigarette. Banning smoking in all-social areas should be one of the most advocated policies by governments as crucial health and safety precautions. Considering the effects of smoking, it has many negative effects to the people who smoke and those surrounding them. Smoking should be banned in public places for the following reasons. The first reason is the unpleasant smell to people who do not smoke. Smoking makes non-smokers ill when they smell it. Less than thirty percent of us smoke actively, addicts are generally oblivious to how unpleasant smoke is to the rest of us (Barry par. 7).
