In Anne Sextons, The Starry Night, she writes about her interpretation of Van Goghs painting, Starry Night. Her writing isnt necessarily descriptive of the pictures appearance as it is interpretative of the emotions she is feeling while viewing this painting. Van Gogh and Sexton both struggled with mental and psychological disorders which led to their suicides. They were both unhappy with the way they were viewed by the outside world and struggled with intimate relationships.
