Man who was Almost a Man Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
There are many different things to look at when looking at a short story. I have chose to
look at the short story called The man who was almost a man. Some of these things that I am
going to talk about include what point of view it was told from, why they decide to tell it in that
point of view, what would the focus be if told in a different point of view, the main character and
what kind of person the main character is, the conflict in the story and then the resolution of the
story.
I believe the point of view in which the story is told in is the objective point of view. I
believe this because the objective point of view states that often a story with an objective point
of view consists largely of conversation(p.140).There are some places in the story where they are
telling about the scene and about other people in the story. But mostly they are having a
conversation amongst themselves in the story that lets you visually see what would be going on.
You could vision all of this as if they only had it on camera or only had it on a mic......
