portrayal of F.Scott Fitzerald's novel, 'The Great Gatsby'.Each character and
scene is brought to life and presented in a majestic way in the movie.Despite
that,Tom Buchanan's character is also portrayed effectively in the movie,yet his
physical appearence was some what dissappointing.
In the novel, F.Scott Fitzerald gave Gatsby a character who is extremely
staunched to Daisy."He[Gastby] was profoundly affected by the fact that Tom
was there"(p98).Just the presence of Daisy's husband was enought to bring
Gatsby in a dejected mood,this proves how desperate Gatsby was for Daisy.In
the movie,there is a schne in which Daisy extends her hand towards
Gatsby,Gatsby tried to reach her hand but didnt touchi it.Adam tried reaching
God's hand bout failed to reach it,this scene in the movie alludes to Adam and
the GOd;leavi......
