I. Introduction
Lung and bronchus incidences account for the number one mortality rate of all races including white, African American, Asian American, American Indian, and Hispanic/Latinos within the United States. For many consecutive years, lung cancer has topped the number of deaths and the number of new cases for all types of cancers. The number of estimated cancer deaths for lungs and bronchus are more than triple any other type of cancer. The reason for these outrageous statistics can be attributed to negative effects of smoking. Currently, tobacco kills about 4.2 million people each year, constituting the single largest preventable cause of death worldwide .
Regarding lung and bronchus as the disease with the number one mortality rate is a two-fold problem. The first fold is prevention and the second fold is curative.
