Introduction Depression is condition of general emotional dejection and withdrawal; sadness greater and more prolonged than that warranted by any objective reason. The purpose of this research investigation is to study the microanalysis/macroanalysisof teen clinical depression in the American Society. In this paper I will also be discussing alcohol, drugs, and suicide and how they tie together with depression. I also will be telling statistics; and comparing studies on different genders. Depression is more common than previously in adolescents. Saddened adolescents complain or talk about their sadness while they try and do something about it. Teens, usually, push away their parents and rely more on relationships with friends. The difference between "normal" adolescent sadness and clinical depression is based on the time, degree, and amount of deviation from the teenagers normal personality and behavior.
