The purpose of this book is to inform people of the changes that have been made in technology in the past twenty years. Changes in communication, education, transportation, and basically just everyday life due to computers and the software we use on them. I chose this book because I have always admired Bill Gates and the things he has done for the modernization of this world. From a thirteen year Gates and his friends creating games on a school computer that was as big as a microwave oven, to the PC (Personal Computer), and the $120 billion Microsoft Company we know of today. He wrote this book in 1995 and he shares his thoughts, beliefs and predictions that he had about the new network which is what we now call The Information Highway and how it will be like in the future and how it would affect our ordinary everyday lives.
