Freud vs Marx Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Sigmund Freud and Karl Marx are very analytical individuals, both having thorough perceptions and ideas about society and human nature. Though some would feel their literature was very absurd, they have influenced the world to look deeper into our society differently and in various ways. As Freud touches his work with many themes in an individual human such as love, aggression, energy, and the super-ego, Marx concentrates on our society as a whole, civilization, labor, economy, and how it is molding the man. They are very similar because they both look directly at modern conflicts between man and the foundation of society and the rise of these problems. It is obvious to the reader that Freud is somewhat a pessimist because he doesn’t feel that there really is an ideal world to live in and Marx is an optimist because he has faith that the modern world will evolve to his ideas. Between Freud and Marx, appealing arguments come about in their theories with many similarities and friction between the two.
