Advantage Health is a fictitious medical billing and claims clearinghouse offering customized software to match the needs of small clinics to large medical centers. Advantage Health was founded in 1995 and now has offices in California and North Carolina to accommodate their national customers in their corresponding time zones. In addition, some programming has been outsourced to contractors in India in an effort to reduce operating costs. Advantage Health employs both exempt and non-exempt employees in the United States. Advantage Health is a private sector company that does not meet the qualification of creating and implementing an affirmative action plan.
The employee handbook governs Advantage Healths business conduct and rules and regulations. Each employee must sign a receipt of acknowledgement of receiving the Advantage Health handbook and is responsible for knowing the contents and keeping up-to-date on any changes that are distributed.
