As we already analyze in class the humor in good bye Lenin makes this film really enjoyable my goal is to show the use of humor in this film. Alexs mother is one of the faithful communist party that always encourage their children to be independents and have respect for government for example in the film when the army was marching in the street, Alex didnt really want to see the marching but his mother keep encourage him to have respect for the government. That example shows the difference between new generation (Alex) and old generation (Alexs mother). This difference showing up when Alexs mother see her son in the antigovernment movement which is cause her a heart attack and hospitalize her in coma. In my opinion the humor of goodbye Lenin starts at the point that Alexs mother hospitalize in coma for eight month. The government has changed and there is no Berlin wall between east and west.
