“Nothings Changed” by Tatumkhulu Afrika, is about the racial segregation in Capetown, Africa. “Two Scavengers in a Truck, Two beautiful People in a Mercedes” by Laurence Ferlinghetti, is about how American society is divided by wealth. “Nothings Changed” is Tatumkhulu Afrika’s experience when he goes back to district 6 after the apartheid law had been abolished, but the conditions and the opportunities of the black people had not improved. There was still a division in the society.
