One of the greatest medical crisis of past century began in the 1980s. It is the AIDS crisis. For the past twenty-five years, millions of people have died from this disease for which there is no cure. It has had a tremendous impact on the American culture and economy. In the early 1980s, some doctors began noticing rare cancers and infections striking, otherwise, healthy young, gay men. Something was destroying their immune systems.
