Emmett Till was murdered in a terrible way in Money, Mississippi. Tills murder took place in the 1950s when blacks were being treated terribly in the south and helped spark the civil rights movement. The reason for Tills death was jealously and racism. There were fifteen total people involved with the murder of Till, yet only two stood trial for his death. With the case involving a black boy and the jury being made up of all white men the two men on trial were found innocent. Although this case took place many years ago they still want to put the five people still living to trial. I agree with the decision, I feel his death was never served justice and the five living people involved with the case need to be put to trial and convicted of the crime they committed.
Emmett Till was a young fourteen year old African American boy who grew up in Chicago in the late 1940s and early 1950s. His mother had family ties in Mississippi and Emmett would try to talk his mother into letting him go down there and meet her family. His mother finally gave in and got him a bus ......
