Physics studies all movements and changes that were made relative to another object. A similar method is used in literature when the writer wants to describe a particular character. An evil character brings out the good in the others while the righteous characters make us pay more attention to the wrongdoings of other individuals in the book. However stories arent always filled with just the bad guys and the good guys, they often include characters that change throughout the story. These kinds of characters are called dynamic characters.
Ray Bradburys Fahrenheit 451 is a good example of these literary terms. The protagonist and the main character of the book is Guy Montag who works as a fireman in the distant future world where his job is to burn books. We are introduced to Montag when he was a closed minded citizen of a mind controlling government. Throughout the story Montag goes through a series of experiences and faces a number of ethical decisions that make him question his purpose of existence.
