Article: In Praise Boundaries - A Conversation with Ms. Manners This article, extracted from the Harvard Business Review seeks to analyse the perspective of syndicated writer and columnist, Judith Martin on the controversial issues arising from loss of etiquette in conducting business today. Ms Martin argues that business needs more etiquette, not less and gives her opinion on the American workplace becoming to informal. She gives a brief history of early philosophers such as Socrates and Erasmus whom have studied the social structure of civilizations and concludes that all societies develop formal rules. These rules govern the way we think, act and engage in social interactions and even in the way which we do things such as eating or conducting funerals.
