The United States needs to leave Iraq. The United States government has misled the general public as to its reasoning for occupying Iraq. We as American people have not been provided a valid reason for the lives lost or the dollars spent. The monetary and emotional cost of the war is now hurting our economy and threatens to bankrupt America both fiscally and emotionally.
There are many reasons Americans believe we are at war but none them are valid. Nine hundred and thirty-five false statements were made after the September 11th, 2001 attacks on the United States, about the posed threat of Saddam Husseins Iraq. Nearly 5 years after these statements were made some records have shown that the statements were part of an orchestrated plan. This plan effectively manipulated the publics view of the problems in Iraq, and eventually led the country to war.
