Womens spirituality is connected to goddess mythology. In mythology goddesses are women who are shown as strong and creative, with the ability to create change and make a difference. In modern times it is a male centered system which has the power and there is nothing for women to take on spiritually other than we are ruled over by men. With goddess mythology we are given ideals which are in sync with our inner beings, allowing the nurturing and more sensitive sides of our personalities to come through. It has always been true that women think differently than men and have many different values than men and therefore we need something different than men to answer our spiritual needs. Goddess mythology gives us this by giving us a female sense of a higher being, someone we can understand and who can understand us.
