The general picture of political views and systems of ancient times can be easily seen through works of Plato, Aristotle and Polybius, which reflect the situation, existing in Ancient Greece of their time. Thus in order to have a conclusion on political life in Ancient Greece, it is first necessary to analyze the ideas and works of the given philosophers, which include recorded dialogues of Plato, Politics and Ethics of Aristotle and The Histories of Polybius. The results of the analysis can be found further in the paper.
Both Plato and Aristotle have been neither political scientists, nor historians, however, their works clearly reflect the political life of Greece in ancient time, and describe the history of the country during the life of philosophers. However, the main idea of their works was the search for an ideal state and for the concept of social justice. Polybius, being a historian, mostly looked on the life of state and view of its history of transformation.
