Ripping Emotions in Shakespeare’s Hamlet Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

In Shakespeare’s Hamlet, the young prince Hamlet suffers from an internal conflicting as he is forced to decide whether to do the right thing or immediately obtain revenge upon his uncle Claudius. All throughout the play Hamlet is in a constant struggle with deciding whether to act on behalf of the ghost’s accusations that only Hamlet heard or to keep his morality intact. This struggle reveals two major themes, which are the impossibility of certainty and the complexity of action. Hamlet is in search of the truth behind his father's murder. As the play begins, Hamlet is introduced to the ghost of his deceased father, which tells him that he was murdered by the current king, Claudius. As a result, this ignites a spark of dark and evil emotions in Hamlet. He has to think of how he will get revenge for his father’s death, but because his only knowledge came from a ghost that only Hamlet heard speak, he is hesitant to get his revenge quickly.
