At the London fashion show former team colleagues David Jago, defender of the English national squad, and Donatello Moore, who recently retired from playing, get to know during an interview that the England team manager has just quit his job. Jago states that he wants an Englishmen for this important job, and is truly dissatisfied when he learns from the reporter that Donatello a half-Italian black was chosen for the job team manager. But what makes Jago really angry is that Donatello chooses young Michael Cassio and not him as team captain. In addition Jago is also envious of Moores young wife, the star model Mona Deeds.
So David Jago plans an intrigue and during their stay in Cyprus he succeeds in making Donatello suspicious that Mona might have an affaire with Michael Cassio, with another simple trick he achieves that Donatello looses his confidence in Michael as a player. The play hits its peak when Donatello gets in rage and kills Mona accusing her of betrayal, Cassio finds out about Jagos double dealing and tries to inform Moore......
