Looking for Alibrandi is the story regarding Josephine Alibrandi’s last year at her exclusive girl’s school. This is the year her father becomes a part of her life, she discovers secrets from her family’s past, develops stronger relationships with people and learns to cope with the influences and problems in life. Between film and text, Josie’s attitudes are still alike; however they are portrayed in different ways to receive a range of audience’s attention. Each version tells the same story of how Josie emancipates herself at the end of the school year however gives different impressions because of the help of distinct writing techniques and move affects. The beginning of the text explains Josie’s complex relationship with her mother, showing their close bond and how they perceive each other. Josie loves and respects her mother for having the courage to bring her up as a single parent, even though she is reminded by Nonna that she shouldn’t be accepted. Using the first chapter of the book for introducing Josie misbehaving in class really reflects her personality trait......
