Racial Harmony
Coretta Scott King the wife of Martin Luther King Jr. once said Segregation was wrong when it was forced by white people, and I believe it is still wrong when it is requested by black people. In America we have segregated ourselves by clubs, neighborhoods, clichés, shopping malls, by the people we hang out with, and even by our behavior. People do not know they are separating themselves from each other; but we are.
I believe that Coretta Scott King was on to something. I believe she means that we have divided ourselves. When integration began we started groups to help the African Americans get jobs, go to college, and even go into restaurants. We started groups to help them become a part of society. Not turn themselves into a society of their own. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has not helped bring racial harmony to this country after a while the NAACP started to bring a bigger divide between the races. There are many groups out there to help the minorities, get into college, and get jobs, and that is okay and even allowed. Yet......
