Ray Bradbury - Forever and the Earth Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Ray Bradbury, who was amongst the first authors to combine the concepts of science fiction with a sophisticated style, is admired and seen as an enigmatic figure in the world of Science Fiction (Encyclopedia). Bradbury is often described as an economical yet poetic writer who occasionally brings readers into what appear to be sinister and cynical situations. Like any artist or author who is admired, Bradbury had many figures in his life that he admired and had ultimately influenced him throughout the years; one such influence would be Thomas Wolfe. Wolfe, who was born on October 3, 1900, fell ill to pneumonia in September, 1038, and soon after passed away (Modern). The ideals towards life of both Bradbury and Wolfe are very similar; they both wrote stories on the grounds that “Reality is based on fantasy and fantasy is based on reality.” (Bradbury) and both felt as if they were born out of their times.
