Morality Huckleberry Finn’s adventure to Morality In Mark Twain’s novel Adventures of Huckleberry Finn we look into the eyes of a clever child, the injustice society he lives in, and the reality that is brought upon him on his journey down the Mississippi River. He discovers to see the real society he is a part of by meeting many different characters. These people will mistakenly turn this innocent and sensitive young child into a moral-based and caring young man. In the novel, Huck is forced to make a decisions based on what people tell him is right and what he thinks is morally right. For instance, He was deciding whether to turn Jim in for running away as a slave or go with what he feels is morally right, and without hesitation he abruptly tears up his letter and says “all right, then, I’ll go to hell” (214). It seems as if Huck has seen past what he has been raised to think is right over what he knows is morally right. It goes to show how wrong the belief system was regarding slavery.
