People should not be allowed to keep guns in their homes. Guns are too dangerous. Ive read articles in the newspaper about kids who have gotten killed by using their parents guns. Thats just stupid and sad. If the gun had not been in the house in the first place the kid would not have gotten killed. Some people think that guns are good protection from burglars. The US Supreme Court appears ready to rule that citizens have a constitutional right to keep a gun in their home for self-defence, writes Patti Waldmeir in Washington. At issue is the second amendment's ambiguous language about gun rights. A majority of the nine justices appeared to believe the amendment guaranteed an individual right to weapons, as opposed to the collective right to bear arms. (Waldmeir, (2008). I do not think thats true. When I was in New York my aunt was robbed by burglars, she was not even home. How is a gun going to help when that happens?
