While all parents have their own ways in child-rearing, there are two main parenting styles: permissive parenting and strict parenting. Although permissive parents and strict parents only share one similarity, they have many differences in terms of parenting approaches and affections on childrens characteristics.
First of all, the major similarity is the parents expectations. Both parenting styles bring up their children with high expectations. While permissive parents expect their children could be brought up well with sufficiency and indulgence, strict parents look forward that their children would be strong, disciplined and become effective leaders.
