Violence and immorality in the different cultures of the world have been around since the beginning of time, especially before television, radio, or video games. As many people would ask, how then did people learn these actions without the extreme exposure of the media? The question has a simple answer; humanity is the designer of its own media; the media is not the designer of humanity. In my observations, American and Canadian children spend more time watching TV than any other activity, next to sleep. If this is the case and television is supposedly more violent and crude today, why then has the crime rate not soared to record levels? Why then is there more individuality in our society than conforming to the medias influence? Violence and immorality are not the fault of video games, movies, books or any other media.
