Rosa Parks Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report

Rosa Parks Rosa Parks was an African American women. She is known in these modern days as the mother of the civil rights movement, and was a major civil rights activist. She had formed many civil rights movements and boycotts. Her most famous action was while she was on a bus in Montgomery. Her role in America has given her an amazing title in modern civil rights history . She has left a lasting legacy for civil right movements around the world, and was a great and surreal idealist. Rosa was born in February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama. She lived with her mom, Leona McCauley, and her dad, James McCauley, at the age of two she moved to her grandparents house with her mom and younger brother. Rosa Parks went to Montgomery Industrial School for Girls. According to Rediger, Pat, Great African Americans in Civil Rights, “Rosa left school in the 11th grade to look after her mom and grandmother whom where both ill”(35).
