Telling a good story is a hard thing to achieve. To tell a good story there are many emotions and small details to incorporate. Also you have to think about the people that you are telling it to, because they probably dont have a true understanding of what you have been through or the real feelings that were felt at the time. In The Things They Carried by Tim OBrien the whole novel is about OBrien telling war stories and describing the challenges of telling the story, making people understand the intent of the story, as well as the truthfulness of the story.
