Rosa Parks and MLK - Black History Month Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
A black woman named Rosa Parks was arrested yesterday because she was not willingly. She was coming home from work, both physically and mentally tired. Rosa Parks was sitting in one of the bus behind rows that have been reserved for whites. All the spots reserved for whites were full and there were three white men standing. The bus driver noticed that the white men were standing, so then he had held up the sign so that all the blacks had to go and sit in the back. There had been four black men that were sitting down in the white men section, so therefore the four black men and Rosa Parks had do to go the back of the bus. Every single one of the black people except Rosa had gotten up but she refused to give up her seat.
When Blake asked her why she was not standing up and moving towards the back she simply replied saying I do not think that I have to stand up. Blake called the police and asked them to arrest Rosa Parks. She even gave Blake permission to call the police and have her arrested. She states that the reason she did not give up her seat that day is because she was tired......
