Harper Lees To Kill a Mockingbird is an intricate lacework that analyses the differently patterned personas that fashion the Maycomb Society. Lee explores every stitch of the Maycomb Society through the eyes of a six-year-old child which brings to the table issues of growing up, prejudices, courage and education. These themes are shown to the audience through Lees divisive use of techniques, being not only first person reflective narration but also through characterisation, a division in the novel, descriptive language, symbolism, anecdotes.
