Introduction: I have decided to observe a 3 years old girl Elizabeth. She is my neighbors daughter. I observed her for about 6 hours total. Elizabeths mom is an Italian and dad is an American. Both of her parents work full time. She is about 2 feet 9 inches and weighs about 30 pounds. She has blonde hair and beautiful smile. My main goal for observing Elizabeth was to get better understanding for early childhood. I enjoyed doing my first observation paper so much that I wanted to continue observing different ages children to get better understanding for overall childhood. I also would like to compare the concepts in the book with my observation studies. Physical Development: Elizabeth now has full set of baby teeth. After interviewing Elizabeths dad, I found out that she sleeps 10-12 hours at night without wetting the bed. She needs about 1,300 calories per day. She can use toilet with some help and can wear her shoes but cannot tie laces. Elizabeth was playing in the living room while I observed her.
