POVERTY IN JAMAICA Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Jamaica is struck with poverty because of different reasons, including the government, drugs, and little or no work for the locals. Why is it that this beautiful island is so drowned with poverty.
When I heard about a trip to Jamaica, I was very ready to see how other countries looked and better yet an island, where a lot of my friends had either talked about are had been to. When the plane landed, I saw deep blue water, a beautiful line of green trees and a little mist over the hills. Departing from the plane I was ready to feel a cool breeze blowing in my face, but the only thing on my face was sweat rolling from the sun beaming down like a hot flash light. When we walked into the airport, we were greeted by group of Jamaican women lined up, singing island songs. They were dressed in colorful dresses giving you that island feeling right away.
