Japan is an archipelago that comprises 4 main islands, Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, and Kyushu. The whole archipelago comprises 3,000 islands. The vastness of Japan ranges from the North of Kuril Islands until the last islands down south of Kyushu knowned as RyuKyu Islands. The place is really surronded by water. Japan has a nearby nieghbor to its west called, Korea which is divided into North and South Korea. Farther down in south west is the mainland China. On its eastern side is the vast ocean called Pacific Ocean. As far as the old world knew, Japan was believed to be the farthest oriental nation. The first settlers are nomadic tribes coming from the continent of Asia of mongoloid features. The next wave are the brown race coming from Southeast Asia. After long hiatus of living separately from other people. Japan further develop into a homogeneous nation. The Japanese culture is influence much by China and Korea.
