Learning Styles Free Essay, Term Paper and Book Report
Have you ever wondered why you have difficultly learning from a particular instructor whereas another seems to explain things in just the right way? Did you ever question why the course that your friends said was so easy turned into a struggle for you? The reason behind some of these discrepancies may be differences in learning styles. In many cases, students learning styles show how well students learn material in different situations are based on gender, age and country of each person.
I made a survey by interviewing twenty students at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). The half of them is females, ages 20-25. Most of these students are from Asia. With the score from the survey, it helps me determine students learning styles preferences. To put it simply, your learning style is the way you tend to learn best. It involves your preferred method of taking in organizing and making sense of information (Dunn, 1994, p.123).The survey showed that every student with different gender, age, and country has different learning styles.
